The Beautiful Krabi Province and Its Hidden Gems

Thailand is known worldwide for its natural beauty and serenity. Around the country are untouched pockets of paradise, including beaches, hot springs, and landscapes. Over time, more and more of these gems are being discovered as adventurous souls explore Thailand.
From all over the world, tourists visit Thailand in the hopes to experience these paradises first-hand. One destination, in particular, is famous for this: Krabi.

Krabi’s Location
Located in southern Thailand, Krabi is near to the Thailand-Malaysia border. It stretches along the Phang Nga Bay, and the majority of it borders land.
There are many things Krabi has to offer, especially to visitors. Along with boasting some of Thailand’s famous beaches, islands populate the sea, all explorable by anyone. Krabi, sharing the same name as its province, is the most famous town of the Krabi Province, and provides tourists with everything they need to know, such as the different attractions available.

Krabi Hot Springs
Thanks to its location, Krabi is warm all year round. As a result, Krabi’s waters are naturally heated. Krabi is also known for its incredible hot springs located all around the province. These springs attract visitors by the thousands all year round. Not only do they come to look at the stunning sight, but enjoy the crystal clear and warm waters too.
Because of the change of tides, the best hot spring to visit can move from one place to another. However, one can be sure that they’ll enjoy the springs no matter what by visiting Krabi’s famous hot springs—Namtok Ron Khlong Thom, the Emerald Pool, and the Than Bok Khorani National Park.

Namtok Ron Khlong Thom
If you’re looking for one of if not the most popular destination in Krabi, then this waterfall hot spring is the place to go. Namtok Ron Khlong Thom offers a beautiful setting where you can enjoy the best of what hot springs have to offer. There is plenty of shade as well, as the area is filled with trees.
Namtok Ron Khlong Thom is unique because of its waterfall. The moment you visit the place is the moment you realize why the site is so famous for both tourists and locals alike. Many believe that the constant sound and feeling of flowing water offers a therapeutic experience, hard to describe without a visit.
Over many years, the waterfall has shaped the area into individual bath-like structures, all filled with natural spring waters. If you’re looking to visit “Nature’s Jacuzzis,” then you should do so early in the morning or later in the evening. The water will stay warm throughout the day, but it is recommended that you visit when the weather isn’t. After enjoying your time in the “hot tub,” there is a serene lake nearby where all the water collects and is an excellent spot to cool off.

There are a few things you’ll have to keep in mind in regards to this waterfall. The area is only open at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 6:00 p.m. and prices can range between 90 to 200 baht. Also, there aren’t any changing rooms nearby, so you’ll either have to brave the public or come appropriately dressed.

If you’re not into waterfalls, don’t fret. There are plenty of other things Krabi has in store for you! You only need to do quick research or ask the locals about the best places to visit. We assure you that you’ll have an enjoyable time!
