In Haad Rin and Koh Phangan, many shops sell full moon party outfits. These clothes are brightly colored shorts, miniskirts, and T-shirts. If you’re having trouble figuring out what you should wear, here are some tips to help you decide:

 

1. Show off Your Skin

As much as you can, show your skin. Why? At the party, many paint artists will paint on your body with whatever color you want. These paints are bright, fluorescent colors, and you’ll notice that many girls and guys will have their head to toes covered in it. It also helps to know that the more paint you have on your body, the cooler you become (according to trends at least).

Do note that this paint will stain your clothes, so wear something you don’t mind getting colored. However, if you really can’t bother, wear anything. Some ladies wear dresses, while others go for something to look as sexy as possible. Guys can go shirtless or wear a T-shirt. Just don’t go wearing your favorite T-shirt that you do not want to get dirtied. Again, the colors will stain and ruin your outfit, and with so many other people dancing around you with paint all over, there is no chance you’re getting out un-colored. The color is also challenging to clean off your clothes, but it is surprisingly easy to wash off your body.

 

2. Protect Your Feet

Your footwear is vital to your safety. With so many people drinking and dropping trash everywhere, you don’t want to walk on a broken bottle barefoot. Even walking on a plastic bucket in the sand will hurt your bare feet. You don’t want to end the night limping home now, would you? If you have any flip flops or any footwear at all, just wear them.

If you find yourself wanting to dance, we won’t blame you if you’re going to take off your slippers. It is much easier to dance without it. You can either strap the flip flops to your ankles or just carry them. That way, you won’t run the risk of losing them in the crowd.

 

3. Consider a Headwear

Full moon headwear, like flashing cat ears and full moon hats, are available for purchase in the different shops around the island. Do note that your face will get painted on, so you can leave your face free for that. However, some people do wear brightly colored masks, so if you want to keep your face nice and clean, you can opt for one too.
